Alfredton For Lifestyle

Residents along Alfredton Drive are not too pleased with City of Ballarat's idea of planning. I have deliberately left out the word strategic. I'm not convinced Council understands what strategy is. Council seems to have adopted an 'ad hoc' approach to its planning. Hodge Podge. They sprinkle sections of industry in various areas...east...west...north...it does not seem to matter. Other regions develop things called industry parks. Sounds sensible enough. Why not in Ballarat?

So, the Alfredton For Lifestyle (AFL) group will need to continue its fight against council as we do not want industry in our background. Not a suitable neighbour. What is cute is that Council can not tell me what a list of 'light industry' businesses are. So...who would be allowed in? Well...that's the problem. They do not want to limit their options by providing a list. It could be almost anything...

This needs to be stopped. Join the AFL (Alfredton For Lifestyle) group.
